The lucky Elmwood Park resident’s $2 ticket matched the first five numbers – 03 - 09 - 19 - 33 – 38- (12) - in the Wednesday October 9 drawing.

Widelski said he enjoys playing the lottery and used to play in Poland, always choosing his numbers randomly and always spending $2. “I plan to keep playing!” he said. The winning ticket was purchased at A&D Food and Liquor, 7705 West Belmont Avenue in Elmwood Park. The retailer will receive a $10,000 bonus, 1 percent of the prize amount, for selling the winning ticket.
