Chicago, IL—June 19, 2013 — “Winning the lottery is a blessing to me and my community,” Margarita Demartinez said after winning a $200,000 Lucky Day Lotto jackpot prize. A long-time fan of Lucky Day Lotto and its new twice daily drawing schedule, Demartinez played and won on the June 4 evening drawing when she matched all five winning Lucky Day Lotto numbers — 05 — 11 — 13 — 23 — 25.

The Pilsen neighborhood resident currently works in a restaurant as a waitress. “This lottery prize means so much to me; now I can support the community by donating to my church for their December 12th celebration of the Virgin of Guadalupe. There are people who attend the celebration that have no place to live and I want to help.” She also plans to share the winnings with her son and daughter, whose birthdates served as the basis for her winning numbers.

Demartinez bought her winning ticket at Jodos Varieties, 1840 S Blue Island Avenue, in Chicago. “I went back to the store to verify the winning numbers and I was thrilled. I am blessed!” The retailer received a $2,000 bonus, equal to 1 percent of the prize amount, for selling the winning ticket.

Jackpots for Lucky Day Lotto start at $100,000. Drawings are seven days a week with over 35,000 winners every day. That’s over 200,000 winners in Illinois every week! For more information, please visit www.illinoislottery.com.
