Chicago, IL—March 6, 2013 —What do clovers and emeralds have in common, besides the color of money? They are featured in two new Illinois Lottery instant games that offer unique versions of the proverbial pot o’ gold prize. The Illinois Lottery premiered the two new games this week – $2 Lucky Clover and $5 Emerald Green 7s. These two new instant games join the popular St. Patrick’s Day Millionaire Raffle in bringing a taste of the Irish to Lottery players across the state.
The new $2 instant game, Lucky Clover, gives players the chance to win one of four $25,000 top prizes. Players scratch their card and when they uncover a pot of gold symbol they automatically win the prize shown. If they uncover a wishbone symbol, they win double the prize shown. With more than $4.1 million in available prizes, Lucky Clover includes 1-in-4.66 overall odds of winning a prize.
The number seven has long been considered a lucky number. With Emerald Green 7s players can try their luck at winning some of the game’s $20.5 million in available prizes—including five top prizes up to $250,000 each. Emerald Green 7s features an easy, match-number game play with several fun twists: Those that reveal a black “7” automatically win the prize shown; uncover a green “7” and win double the prize shown; get a green emerald play symbol and win all 15 prizes automatically! Overall odds of winning on Emerald Green 7s are 1-in-3.99.
Illinois adults can also try their luck at the St. Patrick’s Day Millionaire Raffle. The popular $20 game is on sale now. St. Patrick’s Day Millionaire Raffle is a game that lends itself to group play and/or office pools. It features 509 total prizes that will be awarded on March 17: four (4) $1 million prizes, five (5) $100,000 prizes and five hundred (500) $1,000 prizes. With only 500,000 tickets available, players are encouraged to get their raffle tickets before the game sells out. This is the 12th time the Illinois Lottery has offered a Raffle game since 2007.
Players can purchase Lucky Clover, Emerald Green 7s and the St. Patrick’s Day Millionaire Raffle at more than 8,100 Lottery retailers statewide. Profits generated through the sale of these games go to the Common School Fund (K-12 schools) and the Capital Projects Fund (roads, bridges and job creation).
