Keokuk, Iowa—May 22, 2013 —“A few times a week I go to Illinois to visit a friend and I always buy a Lucky Day Lotto ticket while I’m there,” said Richard Phillips, a Keokuk, Iowa resident after winning $100,000 playing the Illinois Lottery’s Lucky Day Lotto game. Phillips’ Quick Pick ticket matched all five numbers 01 10 34 38 39 in the May 4 Lucky Day Lotto drawing.

The Phillips will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary this November. They plan to have a party with their seven children, 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. “It’s going to be an even bigger party now, thanks to this Lottery win.” They also plan to pay bills and maybe take a trip to California.

The winning ticket was purchased at Pat’s Pit Stop, 255 South 2nd Street in Hamilton. The retailer received a $1,000 bonus, equal to 1 percent of the prize amount, for selling the winning ticket.
