Tinley Park, IL—May 14, 2013 —“I didn’t win the jackpot but I sure feel like I did,” Tony Sefl said after matching the first five numbers — 01 - 19 - 20 - 39 - 49 - (28) — in the Friday May 10 Mega Millions drawing and winning $250,000. The $154 million jackpot in Friday’s Mega Millions multi-state lottery rolled, making tonight’s jackpot worth $170 million.

Sefl, a diesel mechanic, was sleeping when his girlfriend checked the winning Mega Millions numbers on-line and started screaming. “We can’t believe it, it still hasn’t really sunk in,” Sefl said. The Tinley Park residents are planning to buy a house with a portion of this lottery win. “This is life-changing for us,” Sefl said.

A regular Mega Millions player, Sefl buys one ticket once a week and always plays Quick Picks. He purchased his winning ticket at Speedway, 16649 South Kedzie Avenue, in Markham. The retailer will receive a $2,500 bonus, 1 percent of the prize amount, for selling a winning ticket.

When asked if he will buy a ticket for tonight’s $170 million Mega Millions jackpot Sefl said, “Definitely. Just to dream of winning is worth the price of the ticket.”
