CHICAGO, IL—October 24, 2013 — The Illinois Lottery is reminding players to buy their Halloween Millionaire Raffle tickets before it’s too late. Tickets for this year’s Raffle went on sale September 22, and will remain on sale until November 1, 2013, or until all raffle tickets are sold.
The final drawing for the Halloween Raffle Grand Prizes will take place on November 1 and will award four $1 million prizes to lucky ticket holders. Leading up to the final drawing, up to 5,000 players will also win $100 instantly if their ticket qualifies for an instant-win prize.
While players are gearing up for the grand prize drawing, the Lottery is still on the lookout for one lucky player who won the $500,000 prize in the October 3, early bird drawing. The winner, who has yet to come forward, purchased the winning ticket at Mar-Shell Station, 2922 East 24th Road, in Marsilles with winning ticket number, 31888. The Illinois Lottery is encouraging players to check their tickets to see if they’ve won the coveted prize.
The $100 instant-win prizes will be randomly printed on select Raffle tickets sold between Sept 22 and Nov 1 (or until all 500,000 Raffle tickets are sold). Halloween Raffle tickets cost $20 each. The final drawing on November 1 will be used to award four $1 million prizes.
Halloween Millionaire Raffle is played like a typical raffle game. Each $20 raffle ticket contains a unique number automatically generated by the Lottery terminal. Raffle tickets are sold in sequential order throughout the state beginning with ticket number 000,001 and ending with ticket number 500,000. A player’s raffle ticket must exactly match one of the winning number sequences drawn in the October 3 and November 1 drawings. The 5,000 instant win prizes of $100 each must be claimed at a Lottery retail location.
To help celebrate this ticket, meet up with the Illinois Lottery this Saturday, October 26, at the Halloween Hustle in downtown Palatine and Nightmare on Chicago Street in downtown Elgin. Participants will receive a free Plants vs. Zombies instant lottery ticket with the purchase of a Halloween Millionaire Raffle ticket and will get a chance to a spin on the prize wheel for free goodies from the Illinois Lottery.
