Bolingbrook, IL – December 3, 2012 – Lissette Quinones plans to use her winnings to help others after becoming a Lucky Day Lotto jackpot winner. The Bolingbrook resident matched all five numbers – 01 - 06 – 16 – 33 – 38 – in the November 2 drawing and won $500,000. “We are so blessed, and we always said that if we ever won a big prize we would help a lot of people. We’re definitely going to stick to our plan.”
Quinones stopped at a store to get the winning Lucky Day Lotto numbers. “I checked my ticket over and over and I kept asking the clerk if I really did win. Then I got in my car and screamed and cried,” she said. “I feel so lucky. I’m going to tell everyone that people really do win the lottery – people like me!”
Plans for the winnings also include investing for retirement and travelling to Florida to visit their newest granddaughter, born just last month. “We’re going to take some time to make more plans, but we need to let this sink in!”
The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased at 7-Eleven, 398 South Schmidt Road in Bolingbrook. “I always play Quick Picks, I feel like they’re lucky,” Quinones said. The store will receive a $5,000 bonus from the Lottery for selling the winning ticket.
Jackpots for Lucky Day Lotto start at $100,000. Drawings are seven days a week with over 35,000 winners every day. That’s over 200,000 winners in Illinois every week! The Lucky Day Lotto drawing takes place every night at 9:22 p.m. For more information, please visit www.illinoislottery.com.
