CHICAGO, IL September 18, 2012— “I am a very lucky person,” said Lynne McGovern of Homer Glen after discovering her third Illinois Lottery win. McGovern won the $325,000 Lucky Day Lotto jackpot in the September 12 drawing. Three years ago she won $100,000 on an instant ticket and 12 years ago she won $45,000 playing Little Lotto!
“I always buy a $1 Quick Pick but this time I cashed in some winners and bought extra tickets,” McGovern said, adding, “you only need $1 to win!” The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased at Lemont Liquors, located at 1128 State Street in Lemont. Nick Padalia has owned Lemont Liquors for four years. “Lucky Day Lotto is a very popular game here and I was so excited that one of our regular customers won the jackpot,” he said. The store will receive a $3,250 bonus, one percent of the jackpot amount, for selling a winning ticket.
McGovern and her husband, Mike, work for a small manufacturing company in Villa Park. They have two daughters and six grandchildren. When asked about their plans for the windfall she said they will share with their grandchildren and go on an Alaskan cruise. “We love cruising, this will be our third cruise to Alaska,” she said. They may also consider buying a new house.
Jackpots for Lucky Day Lotto start at $100,000. Drawings are 7 days a week with over 35,000 winners every day! That’s over 200,000 winners in Illinois every week!
