CHICAGO – March 17, 2012 - St. Patrick’s Day brought a bit of luck and a $1,000,000 prize for four Illinois residents who bought winning Illinois Lottery St. Patrick’s Day Millionaire Raffle tickets.

The St. Patrick’s Day Millionaire Raffle is one of the most popular games offered by the Illinois Lottery and provides players the best odds to win a million dollars (1 in 125,000); a $100,000 prize and a $1,000. A total of 509 winning tickets were drawn today.

Lottery players who purchased a St. Patrick’s Day Millionaire Raffle ticket can check the Lottery website, Facebook page ( or Twitter page ( today to see if they are one of the 509 lucky winners. Raffle tickets sold out on March 13. The raffle tickets cost $20 and were sold in sequential order at Lottery retailers. Retailers who sold winning tickets will receive one percent of the prize. Winners can claim their prize at one of five Illinois Lottery Claim Centers located throughout the state in Chicago, Des Plaines, Fairview Heights, Rockford or Springfield.
