Quincy, IL—July 9, 2014 — “I chose this ticket because it was the first one I saw when I went into the store. I never expected to win such a big prize!” Peggy Lambert said when she presented her $100,000 winning 50X The Cash instant ticket at the Illinois Lottery Prize Center in Springfield.
Lambert, a lifetime resident of Quincy, was at the store when she used a penny to scratch her ticket and instantly won $100,000. The occasional lottery player plans to use the windfall to pay bills and invest. When asked what advice she would give other lottery players she said, “You have to play to win.”
The winning ticket was purchased at Ayerco Convenience Center, 2401 State Street in Quincy. The retailer will receive a $1,000 bonus, 1 percent of the prize amount, for selling the winning ticket. 50X The Cash is a $20 instant ticket with prizes ranging from $50 to $4,000,000. One of the $100,000 prizes on this game has not yet been claimed. For more information please visit www.illinoislottery.com.
