Marine, IL—July 23, 2014 — Two years ago Don Dean randomly chose some numbers and he has been using them to play Lucky Day Lotto ever since.  “They were just numbers I thought looked good.  I never expected them to pay off in such a big way!”  The lucky Marine resident won the $100,000 Lucky Day Lotto jackpot prize when his ticket matched all five numbers – 01 - 06 - 17 - 26 – 39 – in the Thursday, July 10, midday drawing.

Dean, a driver for FedEx, plans to use the windfall to pay bills and go on a vacation.  “I’ve always wanted to go to Cancun, Mexico, and now I can.”  When asked if he had any advice for other Lottery players he said, “Choose your own numbers, it sure worked for me!”

Dean bought his winning ticket at Stop N Go Mart, 102 West Division Street in Marine.  A few days after the drawing, he went back to the store and the clerk told him they had sold a big winning Lucky Day Lotto ticket.  He immediately checked his ticket and discovered his win. “I told the clerk that the big winner was me!”  Stop N Go Mart will receive a $1,000 bonus, equal to 1 percent of the prize amount, for selling the winning ticket.

Lucky Day Lotto drawings are twice a day, seven days a week and now offer bigger and better prizes for the same price, with the same draw times. For more information, please visit www.illinoislottery.com.
