Ask a clerk for a play slip and pick your 5 unique numbers between 1 and 59 (White). Then, pick 1 additional number between 1 and 35 (Red Powerball). You can also ask the clerk for a Quick Pick and have your numbers automatically selected for you.
If you want to play Powerball right now, buy your online tickets online here. You can pick your numbers yourself, or select Quick Pick to have your numbers randomly generated. The minimum purchase online is $5.
The base Powerball game is $2. You can multiply your winnings by adding Power Play® for an additional $1 per game. Powerball tickets may be purchased until 9:00pm on the night of the drawing. Tickets purchased after that time will be eligible for the next drawing.
Powerball jackpots start at $40 million and grow quickly with each roll. There are nine ways to win and you can win up to $2,000,000 with Power Play®!

**Power Play® is a special feature that increases the value of prize levels 2 through 9. The Match 5+0 prize doubles to $2,000,000 with Power Play®! Note that any set prizes or Power Play® prizes, including the Match 5+0 prizes, may be reduced if wins exceed the available prize fund. A player must choose the Power Play® option when they buy their Powerball ticket to qualify for the Power Play® benefits.
Drawing Times
Powerball drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday evenings (9:59 p.m. Central Time) in Orlando, Florida. Occasionally, the multi-state lottery games go on the road and are drawn during special events around the nation, but most of the time the numbers are drawn at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. Powerball currently uses a 5/59 (white balls) + 1/35 (the Powerball) matrix to select its winning numbers. Draw sales cut off at least 59 minutes before the draw.
All profits from the games are kept by the state that sells the ticket. The association conducts drawings, performs central game administration (including game development and research), and manages central accounting and the purchase of government securities to fund annuitized prizes. You can also watch the next drawing on WGN-TV (Wednesday or Saturday at 9:59pm CST). Winning Numbers are published in most local newspapers and online.
Payout Details
The prize payout information for Powerball will be updated by Thursday and Sunday mornings at 12:30AM CST, following scheduled drawings.
