Illinois Lottery Kicks off Halloween Millionaire Raffle

CHICAGO – October 8, 2009 – The Illinois Lottery’s Halloween Millionaire Raffle is a player’s best odds to win $1,000,000. Played like a typical “raffle” type draw game, only 500,000 tickets will be sold through October 31, 2009, or when all tickets are sold—whichever comes first. Four players will win $1 million, five players will win $100,000 and 500 players will win $1,000.
WHAT: To date, the Lottery has made 20 Illinois Lottery players millionaires from the raffle style game. Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger, winged reapers and Lottery balls will be distributing candy to anyone interested in trick-or-treating and will be anxiously awaiting the next four millionaires.
WHEN: Friday, October 9, from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m.

Ticket sales began Thursday, October 1, and will be sold in sequential order at all Lottery retailers for $20 each. A computerized drawing will randomly select the winners on October 31, Halloween. Winning raffle numbers will be available on www.illinoislottery.com immediately after the drawing.
