CHICAGO – April 22 – The Illinois Lottery is hosting an event April 23 at Northwoods Mall in Peoria to celebrate the launch of its new instant ticket game, Cash for Life, which rewards players for living longer.
Cash for Life gives players a shot at winning $1,000 a week for life – the largest prize ever offered on a $2 Illinois Lottery instant ticket.
“We’re excited to add Cash for Life to our family of Illinois Lottery instant ticket games. The premise of the game is the longer you live, the more you get,” said Jodie Winnett, acting superintendent of the Illinois Lottery. “Cash for Life is more than just a fun way to win one of the largest prizes offered on an instant ticket; it also provides players with the opportunity for life-long peace of mind.”
To celebrate the game’s launch and encourage Peoria residents to live a longer life, the Lottery is hosting an event at Northwoods Mall, 200 W. War Memorial Dr. Peoria shoppers will have the chance to win prizes and use the Cash for Life calculator, a life-size interactive calculator that predicts how much money players can win over the course of their lifetime. Steve, the guy in the protective suit from the Illinois Lottery commercials, will also be available for pictures from noon to 1 p.m.
The Cash for Life suite of games offers three different ways to play: $1, $2 and $5 instant tickets. The games will dole out more than $103 million in cash prizes.
“Everyone wants to live a long, healthy life,” said Winnett. “Cash For Life is even more incentive to do exactly that.”
