Antioch, IL— December 13, 2013 — When Joanne Linker won $200,000 on a Reindeer Riches instant lottery ticket, she knew what to wear for the occasion—and just where to find it. Linker, owner of JJ Blinkers Joke, Magic and Costume Shop, donned reindeer antlers, a red Rudolph nose, and a holiday blouse before presenting her $200,000 winning ticket at the Illinois Lottery Prize Center in Springfield.
“I can’t believe I won! The Illinois Lottery slogan is right, ‘Anything’s Possible’,” said Linker. The lucky Antioch store owner, who lives in nearby Bristol WI, has owned JJ Blinkers, 896 Main Street in Antioch, for 29 years. Last summer she added a new product-line in the store and a new revenue stream for her business — Illinois Lottery tickets. “It’s been fantastic. We love selling lottery, and the staff and I enjoy playing lottery games here as much as our customers do!”
Linker plans to use the windfall to invest in her business. In addition, JJ Blinkers will receive a $2,000 bonus, equal to 1 percent of the prize amount, for selling the winning ticket.
Reindeer Riches is a $5 instant ticket with a top prize of $200,000. There are still two prizes of $200,000 unclaimed. For more information, please visit www.illinoislottery.com.
