Belleville, IL—August 8, 2013 — “I never thought I would win a prize this big!” Cris Lang said after winning $100,000 playing the Illinois Lottery instant game 50X The Cash. The Belleville resident said he buys one instant ticket every week. “A few years ago, I won $500 on an instant Crossword ticket, and now this! I’m proof that winning is possible!”
Lang, a bar manager, likes to unwind after work by watching television. He plans to spend some of his winnings to replace his 25 year old TV. He also plans to pay bills. “This lottery win will be a big help,” he said.
The winning ticket was purchased at Casey’s General Store, 149 West Harrison Street in Aviston. The retailer will receive a $1,000 bonus, 1 percent of the prize amount, for selling a winning ticket.
50X The Cash is a $20 instant ticket with more than $45 million in prizes ranging from $50 to $100,000. For more information, please visit www.illinoislottery.com.
