Fairview Heights, IL—September 26, 2013— “I guess some days you get lucky,” Jonathan Stein told Illinois Lottery staff when he presented his winning Lucky Day Lotto ticket at the Prize Center in Fairview Heights. Stein won a $350,000 jackpot prize when the numbers on his ticket — 02 — 12 — 13 — 18 — 26 — were an exact match in the August 12 Lucky Day Lotto evening drawing.
The lucky Fairview Heights resident plans to use his windfall to pay bills and invest. “I’m pretty conservative,” he said. An occasional lottery player, Stein said he plays Lucky Day Lotto once a month. He purchased his winning ticket, a $1 Quick Pick, at Circle K, 301 Salem Place in Fairview Heights. The retailer will receive a $3,500 bonus, equal to 1 percent of the prize amount, for selling the winning ticket.
Jackpots for Lucky Day Lotto start at $100,000. Drawings are now twice a day, seven days a week with over 40,000 winners every day. That’s over 250,000 winners in Illinois every week! For more information, please visit www.illinoislottery.com.
