Huntley, IL – July 25, 2014 – The Illinois Lottery’s popular “Cash Booth” made an appearance today in Huntley, hosting one of three grand prize winners as part of  the Illinois Lottery’s 60 Seconds of Cash Facebook Promotion. Lourdes Mora of Huntley was given 60 seconds to grab up to $1,000 in cash inside the Lottery’s forced-air Cash Booth. Mora entered the promotion on the Lottery’s Facebook page and was elated when she found out she’d have a chance to grab some cash. In addition to the cash grab, she also took home a $500 gift card.

“My birthday is on Monday, so this is a great prelude to celebrating my big day,” Mora said. “I want to grab enough cash to buy myself a brand new pair of designer shoes. Those would be the ultimate birthday gift!”

Today’s event took place at Mobil, 13280 Illinois 47, where Mora’s family, friends and patrons of the gas station won lottery branded merchandise. Mobil also provided food and beverages for everyone who stopped by.

The 60 Seconds of Cash Facebook Promotion asked players what they would do if they won $1,000 a Week for 20 Years and three grand prize winners were randomly drawn from the entries received. Along with Mora, Edwin R. from Chicago and Angel M. from Westville were drawn as grand prize winners.

The 60 Seconds of Cash Facebook Promotion is a spin-off of the 20 Years of Cash instant game. Tickets are available at four price points--$1, $2, $5 and $10--with top prizes, respectively, of $1,000, $2,000, $5,000 and $10,000 a week for 20 years (prizes paid quarterly). In addition to the annuitized prizes, 20 Years of Cash grand prize winners also receive an immediate payment of $100,000, $200,000, $500,000 or $1,000,000, depending on which of the four games was purchased.

Grand prize winners in each the four games will receive the following total prize money (subject to federal and state withholding):

·         $1 game: $1,140,000

·         $2 game: $2,280,000

·         $5 game: $5,700,000

·         $10 game: $11,400,000

The 20 Years of Cash games feature a familiar match-number game-play that allows consumers to easily determine if they win by matching any of their numbers to any of the winning numbers printed on each ticket. The four games are available at more than 8,200 Lottery retailers statewide.

The Illinois Lottery kicked off its Cash Booth tour this past February in Chicago and Joliet and made stops in Rockford and Loves Park in March, Milan and Silvis in April, Champaign-Urbana in May and Carbondale last month.
