Antioch, IL—March 21, 2014 — “I can’t believe I won $250,000!” Antioch resident Jeff Quist said when he presented his $250,000 winning Monopoly instant ticket at the Illinois Lottery Prize Center in Des Plaines. “I plan to use the money to buy a house, just like when you play the Monopoly board game, except it’s a real house!”
Quist bought his winning ticket out of the lottery self-service machine at Corner Crossing, 211 West Grass Lake Road in Lake Villa. “I chose this ticket because it was a new game,” he said. Corner Crossing will receive a $2,500 bonus, 1 percent of the prize amount, for selling a winning ticket.
Monopoly is a $5 instant ticket featuring a top prize of $250,000. Two of the $250,000 prizes have not yet been claimed. For more information, please visit www.illinoislottery.com.
