Colona Resident Wins $28,500 Illinois Lottery Prize

COLONA, IL — March 5, 2018 — Alicia Bunch of Colona instantly won a $28,552 prize when she scratched a $20,000 Taxes Paid ticket. “Keep it in the family,” Bunch said of her top-prize win. She plans to pay off her bills and take her family on a trip to Las Vegas.

Bunch purchased her winning lottery ticket at a Circle K, 1827 18th Ave., in East Moline. She was walking out of the store when she discovered she won.

The retailer received a bonus of $285.52, or one percent of the prize amount, for selling the winning ticket. $20,000 Taxes Paid is a $2 instant ticket that features six top prizes of $28,552, two of which have not been claimed. For more information, please visit
