Drew of Carpentersville, Illinois is beaming after winning $100,000 on a $2,000,000 Maximum Multiplier Instant Ticket.

The winner decided to spread his odds across multiple tickets that day. “I bought a few instants. I only won $40 on one of them, but I almost passed out when I saw I had won $100,000 on another,” Drew said.

Before scratching his tickets, Drew used the Illinois Lottery app to scan them and check his results. “I was feeling anxious. When I saw the winning amount, my vision immediately went blurry—the reality sank in faster than my brain could process it,” he said with a laugh.

Drew couldn’t wait to share the news and called his dad right away. “I was freaking out. My dad thought something bad had happened until I told him the news. I said, ‘Get dressed—we’re going to dinner,’” he recalled.

With his prize money, Drew plans to invest in his business, add to his savings, and enjoy a well-earned treat—a new car.
