KANE, IL — March 14, 2018 — William Woolsey of Kane was at a concert with his girlfriend when he discovered he won $550,000 playing Lucky Day Lotto. Woolsey’s Quick Pick ticket matched all five numbers – 08 - 11 - 18 - 24 - 31 – in the Friday, February 9, evening drawing.
“Always take a chance,” said Woolsey of his big win. Woolsey usually plays his own numbers, but this time he purchased a Quick Pick ticket instead because he accidentally left his number card at home. He plans to invest his winnings and buy a home.
Woolsey purchased his winning Lucky Day Lotto ticket at a Circle K, 13 S. Stanley Road, in Cottage Hills. The retailer will receive a bonus of $5,500 or one percent of the prize amount, for selling the winning ticket.
More than 18,000 players won prizes ranging from $1 to $200 in this Lucky Day Lotto drawing. Lucky Day Lotto drawings are twice a day, seven days a week. For more information or to subscribe online, please visit www.illinoislottery.com.
