Maroa Resident Wins $250,000 Illinois Lottery Prize

MAROA, IL — March 27, 2018 — Vickie Weikle of Maroa instantly won a $250,000 top prize when she scratched a $250,000 Crossword ticket. This isn’t Weikle’s first win. She previously won $10,000 after playing an instant game. She plans to use her latest winnings to pay off her home and buy a new car or Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Weikle purchased her winning $250,000 Crossword ticket at Freedom Oil Co., 101 S. Wood St., in Maroa. The retailer received a bonus of $2,500, or one percent of the prize amount, for selling the winning ticket.
