YORKVILLE, IL — March 5, 2018 — Peter Stephenson of Yorkville instantly won a $1,000,000 prize when he scratched a Million $$ Match ticket. Stephenson has been playing the Illinois Lottery for years but never had a win this big before.

Stephenson purchased his winning Million $$ Match ticket at Jewel-Osco1177 S. Main St., in Lombard. He didn’t believe he won $1,000,000 until a store clerk reassured him. The retailer received a bonus of $10,000, or one percent of the prize amount, for selling the winning ticket.
