FREEPORT, IL — April 17, 2018 — Evelyn Zimmerman of Freeport instantly won $25,000 when she scratched a $250,000 Crossword ticket. She plans to invest her winnings and continue to build her savings.
Zimmerman purchased her winning $250,000 Crossword ticket at Sullivan’s Foods, 2002 W Galena Ave., in Freeport. The retailer received a bonus of $250, or one percent of the prize amount, for selling the winning ticket. $250,000 Crossword is a $10 instant ticket with 48 top prizes of $250,000, 15 of which have not been claimed.
