Ottawa Resident Wins $50,000 Illinois Lottery Prize

OTTAWA, IL — April 11, 2018 — Ottawa resident Kathy Ulrich instantly won $50,000 when she scratched a Crossword ticket. Ulrich has been a regular Illinois Lottery player for years. “It’s just been one shock after another,” Ulrich said regarding her extensive winning experience.

Ulrich purchased her winning Crossword ticket at Herman’s Package Store, 504 W. Main St., in Ottawa. The retailer received a bonus of $500, or one percent of the prize amount, for selling the winning ticket. Crossword is a $5 instant ticket with 42 top prizes of $75,000, five of which have been unclaimed.
