A gas station in Vernon Hills sold a $550,000 winning ticket in the Saturday, July 27, midday draw, and a gas station in Chicago sold a $200,000 winning ticked in the Sunday, July 28, evening draw.
The winning Lucky Day Lotto ticket in the Saturday, July 27, midday draw was purchased at Shell, 909 S. Milwaukee Ave., in Vernon Hills, and matched all five numbers – 02 - 12 - 14 - 23 - 31 – to win a $550,000 prize. The retailer will receive a bonus of $5,500, or one percent of the prize amount, for selling the winning ticket. More than 16,000 prizes, ranging from $1 to $200, were won in this Lucky Day Lotto drawing. In all, players won more than $589,000 in this drawing.
The winning Lucky Day Lotto ticket in the Sunday, July 28, evening draw was purchased at Augusta Citgo, 1949 W. Augusta Blvd., in Chicago, and matched all five numbers – 2 - 7 - 25 - 43 - 45 – to win a $200,000 prize. The retailer will receive a bonus of $2,000, or one percent of the prize amount, for selling the winning ticket. More than 13,000 prizes, ranging from $1 to $200, were won in this Lucky Day Lotto drawing. In all, players won more than $230,000 in this drawing.
The Illinois Lottery urges the lucky winners to sign the back of the ticket and keep it in a safe place until they call 1-800-252-1775 or visit one of the Lottery’s five Prize Centers in Chicago, Des Plaines, Rockford, Springfield or Fairview Heights.
