October 16, 2020

BURBANK – Diana Sparr of Burbank, Illinois is one of the latest locals to cash in on the Illinois Lottery’s newest game Fast Play, winning $1,000 this week from playing Piggy Bank Bucks.

“I was really excited when I found out I won,”  Sparr said. “I didn’t realize I’d won until I got home and the first person I told about the win was my daughter, who was with me when I bought the ticket.”

Sparr is a longtime lottery fan and this win has only grown her love of the games. “I’ve been playing the Illinois Lottery for years. My favorite games to play are instants - and now Piggy Bank Bucks,” she laughed.

This is not Sparr’s first time experiencing that winning feeling,  “Years ago, I also won $25,000 on a scratch-off ticket.”

The winning Fast Play ticket was purchased in her neighborhood at her local lucky retailer, 7-Eleven, located at 5560 W. 87th Street in Burbank, Illinois.

Sparr’s win is one of many Fast Play wins for players across the state.

Biju Kaurn is the owner of the Lottery retailer who sold a winning $100,000 winning Fast Play Black Jack ticket.  He was thrilled to hear the news of this big win at Citgo Gas & Food Mart, located at 1001 N. Cicero Avenue in Chicago, Illinois.

"This is great news," said Kaurn. "My customers have been enjoying Fast Play and I was waiting for this moment."

Kaurn hopes the winning player comes back to celebrate in-store soon.

"I have a lot of regular customers who come in to play and I am hoping that it was one of them," he said. "When they come back in-store in the next day or two, I hope to celebrate the win with them."

More than $1 million in Fast Play prizes have been won across the state this week, by more than 112,500 lucky players.
