Chicago Residents Have Chance To “Win Area Code” With Two Jackpots At $312 Million

June 22nd, 2022

Powerball and Mega Millions Jackpots Both $312,000,000

CHICAGO, JUNE 22, 2022 – 312 is the original area code for Chicago and it means something special to everyone who calls Chicago home. Well, add a few more zeros and it could also be the bank balance of a lucky Illinois Lottery player.

For the first time ever, the Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots are both at
$312 million. Meaning Chicago residents have the chance to win their area code in millions of dollars!

And, of course, all Illinois residents have the chance to win that life-changing amount of money.

Lottery players are known for playing lucky numbers - such as birthdays, anniversaries, and significant events. Maybe your area code is a lucky number too?

Already this year, two Illinois residents have won prizes of $1 million or more with Powerball and four players have won prizes of $1 million or more with Mega Millions.

Mega Millions is played every Tuesday and Friday night, with the next

draw taking place tonight at 10 p.m. (CT). Powerball is played on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, with the next prize draw taking place on Thursday, June 22.

Mega Millions and Powerball tickets are $2 each, and players can add the Megaplier or Power Play for an additional $1 for the chance to multiply non-jackpot prizes.   Visit IllinoisLottery.com for more information.

Draw results can be found on the Illinois Lottery website at www.illinoislottery.com and on the Illinois Lottery app.
