CHICAGO, August 18, 2026 – A convenience store in Springfield has sold a $550,000 winning Lucky Day Lotto® ticket after a lucky player matched all five numbers in the Monday, August 17 midday drawing.

The winning ticket was purchased at Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh, located at 1025 Outer Park Dr. in Springfield. The winning numbers were 2-7-10-33-41.

The big win marks the second major lottery prize sold by the retail chain in just one week, following the $1.04 billion Powerball® jackpot-winning ticket sold at a Hy-Vee location in Quincy for the Wednesday, August 12 drawing. The jackpot winner has not yet come forward to claim the second-largest lottery prize ever won in Illinois.

For selling the winning Lucky Day Lotto ticket, Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh in Springfield will receive a $5,500 selling bonus — one percent of the total prize amount.

So far this year, nearly 7.5 million winning Lucky Day Lotto tickets have been sold, with players statewide claiming more than $43 million in prizes.

The winners have one year from the draw date to claim their prize. The Illinois Lottery encourages all the lucky winners to write their name on the back of their ticket and keep it in a safe place until they’re ready to claim their prize.

Lucky Day Lotto is an Illinois-only draw game with two daily drawings at 12:40 p.m. and 9:22 p.m., and jackpots starting at $100,000. Tickets are available in-store, online, and via the Illinois Lottery app.
