CHICAGO, August 3, 2026 – A Lucky Day Lotto®  player in Franklin Park is $700,000 richer after matching all five numbers in the Sunday, August 2 evening drawing.

The jackpot-winning ticket was purchased at Franklin Food & Liquors, located at 9735 W. Franklin Ave. in Franklin Park. The winning numbers were 9-13-15-16-37.

The win marks an exciting milestone for the neighborhood convenience store, which reopened just three months ago under new management. Owner Ben converted the former pharmacy into a modern convenience store with expanded products and services.

“We’ve updated the store, expanded our offerings, and now we're welcoming more customers than ever,” Ben said.

The store’s longtime volunteer Vicky, who has supported the location for two decades, sold the jackpot-winning ticket.

"Vicky sold the winning ticket and called me to share the news,” Ben said. “I feel so blessed that our store sold this winning ticket, and congratulations to the lucky winner."

As the retailer that sold the winning ticket, Franklin Food & Liquors will receive a $7,000 bonus from the Illinois Lottery — one percent of the prize amount. Ben said the incentive will be reinvested into the business and the surrounding community.

“This prize will help us continue improving the store, expand our inventory, and better serve our customers and neighborhood,” he said.

Already this year, over seven million winning Lucky Day Lotto tickets have been sold, with players statewide claiming more than $41 million in prizes.

The winner has one year from the draw date to claim their prize. The Illinois Lottery encourages the lucky winner to write their name on the back of their ticket and keep it in a safe place until they’re ready to claim their prize.

Lucky Day Lotto is an Illinois-only draw game with two daily drawings at 12:40 p.m. and 9:22 p.m., and jackpots starting at $100,000. Tickets are available in-store, online, and via the Illinois Lottery app.
