Winning $1 Million Lotto Ticket Sold At New Lenox Gas Station

CHICAGO, August 11, 2026 – Check your tickets, New Lenox — that’s because you could be the next Lotto millionaire. One lucky player, who bought their ticket in New Lenox, matched all six numbers in the Saturday, August 8 Lotto Million 2 drawing to win the game’s $1 million prize. 

The ticket was purchased at Gas N Wash, located at 1951 E Laraway Rd. It matched the winning numbers  — 11-17-22-26-36-45 — and also won an additional $2 for matching two of six numbers on another line of play.

This marks the third major Lotto prize won in just over a week, following a $1 million win on August 3 and a $10.25 million jackpot on August 1.

As a result of selling the winning ticket, Gas N Wash will receive a $10,000 selling bonus — one percent of the total prize amount.

The winner has one year from the date of the drawing date to claim their prize. The Illinois Lottery encourages the lucky winner to write their name on the back of their ticket and keep it in a safe place until they’re ready to claim their prize.

Already in 2026, Illinois Lottery players have claimed nearly 4 million winning Lotto tickets, with total prizes exceeding $45.7 million.

Lotto is an Illinois-only game that is played three times a week on Monday, Thursday and Saturday. Tickets for the game can be purchased in-store, online, or on the Illinois Lottery app.
