Winning $800,000 Lucky Day Lotto Ticket Sold At Elk Grove Village Convenience Store

CHICAGO, August 25, 2026 — A Lucky Day Lotto® player in Elk Grove Village is waking up a whole lot richer after matching all five numbers in the Monday, August 24 evening drawing to secure the game’s $800,000 jackpot.

The winning ticket was purchased at 7-Eleven, located at 1601 W. Nerge Rd. in Elk Grove Village. The winning numbers were 4-24-28-31-42.

For selling the winning Lucky Day Lotto ticket, 7-Eleven in Elk Grove Village will receive a $8,000 selling bonus — one percent of the total prize amount.

So far this year, more than 7.6 million winning Lucky Day Lotto tickets have been sold, with players statewide claiming nearly $45 million in prizes.

The winners have one year from the draw date to claim their prize. The Illinois Lottery encourages all winners to write their name on the back of their ticket and keep it in a safe place until they’re ready to claim their prize.

Lucky Day Lotto is an Illinois-only draw game with two daily drawings at 12:40 p.m. and 9:22 p.m., and jackpots starting at $100,000. Tickets are available in-store, online, and via the Illinois Lottery app.
