How to Play Lotto

Pick your Numbers
Each line purchased costs $2.00.
Pick 6 Numbers between 1 - 50 or select Quick Pick.
To edit a line within My Lines, first select the line. To remove a Number from the line, click on one of the previously picked Numbers within the Numbers section. To then add a new Number, click on another Number.
To delete a line, click on the trash icon next to the line.

Add Extra Shot® to your ticket
Check the box next to Add Extra Shot to your ticket.
A number between 1 and 25 will be randomly selected and will appear in the orange ball within the respective My Line. You can generate a new random number by clicking on the refresh symbol next to Extra Shot.
Extra Shot is an additional $1.00 for all lines within My Lines.
Extra Shot provides a chance to increase your non-jackpot prize winnings.

Select your purchase type
You can purchase your lines for one draw or for up to 12 draws in advance. Alternatively, you can set up a subscription for up to 12 months. The purchase type is set to a default of 1 draw.
Change your For how many draws? selection to increase the number of draws you would like to purchase or toggle on Subscribe.
If you set up a Subscription, your wallet will be deducted before each draw. If you run out of funds during your subscription and want to be included in the next draw, you must add funds to your wallet at least 90 minutes before the next draw time.

Did you Win?
If you purchased your ticket at an Illinois Lottery retailer, you can determine whether your ticket is a winner by scanning the barcode located at the bottom of the ticket with the scanner on the ticket checker, Illinois Lottery vending machine, or the Illinois Lottery app. Any prize of $600 or less can be redeemed immediately at any Illinois Lottery retailer, subject to onsite fund availability and the individual retailer’s preference.
If you purchased your ticket online, please check your online “My Account” section. Any prize of $600 or less will be automatically added to your online account wallet. However, if such winnings cause your total account balance to exceed $2,000, the winnings will be sent to you via check.
For tickets purchased at an Illinois Lottery retailer or online, any prize over $600 must be claimed by mail or at an Illinois Lottery Claim Center. Prizes of $10,000 or less may also be redeemed through an Illinois Lottery e-Claim. For more information please visit When You Win.

Lotto drawings are conducted on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday evenings at 9:22 PM CT and are available for viewing on the Daily Drawings page and the Illinois Lottery YouTube channel shortly after the drawing. Drawing results can be found on the Illinois Lottery website, www.illinoislottery.com; on the official Illinois Lottery app; or at Illinois Lottery retail locations.
Extra Shot®
Play Extra Shot for a chance to increase your non-jackpot prize winnings.
- The Extra Shot number will be randomly drawn at the time of the Jackpot drawing.
- Extra Shot cannot be applied to the Jackpot, Lotto Million 1, or Lotto Million 2.
- When a Lotto with Extra Shot ticket is purchased at a retail location, your ticket will clearly be marked with a YES indicator for the Extra Shot feature. If you don’t purchase Extra Shot, your ticket will be clearly marked with a NO indicator for the Extra Shot feature.
- Extra Shot costs an extra $1.00 per game. If selected, Extra Shot applies to all games played on the ticket.
