To purchase and play select Illinois Lottery games online, you must register for an Illinois Lottery account. You can purchase games on the Illinois Lottery website, iOS app, or Android app.
If I created an Illinois Lottery account through the Illinois Lottery website, do I need to also create an account on the Illinois Lottery app?
No, you only need one Illinois Lottery account. If you have already created an account through the Illinois Lottery website, simply log in to the Illinois Lottery app using your email address and password to start playing.
What games can I purchase on the Illinois Lottery website or app?
You can purchase tickets for FastPlay™, Powerball®, Mega Millions®, Lotto, Lucky Day Lotto®, Pick 3, and Pick 4 games.

What information is required to register for an Illinois Lottery account?
In order to register for an Illinois Lottery account, you must provide the following information:
- First Name;
- Last Name;
- Email Address;
- Password;
- Security Question & Answer;
- Date of Birth; and
- Illinois Address.
Once you complete the registration form, you must accept the Terms & Conditions.
Your email address will be verified, as well as your personal information, to ensure you are an Illinois resident and able to create an account.

Why do you need my phone number?
Providing a phone number is optional. If you provide your phone number, it will not be used for marketing purposes. It will only be used to notify you if you have a large unclaimed Illinois Lottery prize.
How do I make Illinois Lottery purchases online?
After you successfully register for an Illinois Lottery account, you will need to add funds to your wallet via a credit or debit card in the Deposit Funds section of your online My Account.
Once you have funds in your wallet, select the game(s) you’d like to purchase from the respective game page on either the Illinois Lottery website or through the Illinois Lottery app. Powerball, Mega Millions, Lotto, Lucky Day Lotto, Pick 3, and Pick 4, if selected, will be added to your Cart and can then be purchased. FastPlay games will be added to a separate checkout and can then be purchased. All successful transactions can be found in the Transaction History section of your online My Account.
Please note that you must enable location services on your browser and device so that we can ensure you are within the State of Illinois at the time of purchase.

How do I know if I’ve won?
For Illinois Lottery tickets purchased online, we’ll let you know if you’ve won via email. You can also check the My Games section within your online My Account section. Log in to your Illinois Lottery account to ensure your email address is current.
If you provided your phone number, the Illinois Lottery Claims Department may call you in the event that you have a large unclaimed prize waiting to be claimed.
How do I claim my prize?
Prizes of $600 or less are automatically deposited into your Illinois Lottery account. However, if such winnings cause your total account balance to exceed $2,000, the winnings will be sent to you via check using the mailing address in your account.

What can I do on the Illinois Lottery app?
On the Illinois Lottery app, you can do the following, if you do not have or are logged out of your Illinois Lottery account:
- Check the latest results and jackpot amounts of draw games;
- Scan Draw and Instant Tickets to see if you’ve won using the ticket scanner;
- Play Fast Play Scan-N-Play games, using the ticket scanner;
- Discover new games and learn more about your favorite ones; and
- Find an Illinois Lottery retailer.
If you have and are logged into your Illinois Lottery account you can also do the following:
- Purchase Powerball, Mega Millions, Lotto, Lucky Day Lotto, Pick 3, Pick 4, and Fast Play tickets;
- View your transaction history, previous purchases, and wins;
- Check your subscription details and status;
- Enter sweepstakes; and
- Receive alerts for your favorite games, big jackpots, and winning numbers through push notifications;

How do I use the ticket scanner on the Illinois Lottery app?
To scan a lottery ticket using the Illinois Lottery app, tap the Scanner icon at the bottom of the app screen and, using the camera on a mobile device, position the camera over a ticket’s barcode, so the barcode is in the indicated area. Note that you will have to allow the app permission to access your camera in order to use the ticket scanner.
How do I receive push notifications from the Illinois Lottery app?
The Illinois Lottery app will only send push notifications if you opt-in to receive them.
To opt-in during the setup process, download and open the app. When you receive a prompt that asks whether the Illinois Lottery can send you notifications, tap ALLOW.
To opt-in after you have already set up the app, follow the steps below, based on the type of device.
iPhone
- Tap the Settings icon;
- Tap Notifications;
- Locate and select the Illinois Lottery app from the app list; and
- Tap the Allow Notifications toggle.
Android Devices:
- Tap the Settings icon;
- Tap Apps & Notifications;
- Tap App info and select the Illinois Lottery app from the app list; and
- Tap App notifications and then tap the toggle switch.
What sort of notifications will I receive, if I opt-in to receive them?
You will receive notifications that include information such as upcoming draw times, jackpot alerts, new instant ticket game releases, and recent winner announcements.
Can I create subscriptions for Powerball, Mega Millions, Lotto, Lucky Day Lotto, Pick 3, and Pick 4?
Yes, you can create subscriptions for Powerball, Mega Millions, Lotto, Lucky Day Lotto, Pick 3, and Pick 4. Minimum subscription length varies by game but can be up to 12 months.
Before each draw, the Illinois Lottery places your ticket wager and removes funds from your Illinois Lottery account (i.e., the full amount of your subscription wager is not deducted when you start a subscription).
What happens to my subscription if my wallet has insufficient funds?
If your subscription attempts to purchase a ticket for the upcoming draw, but your wallet has insufficient funds, you will be notified via email. You must add sufficient funds to your wallet at least 90 minutes before the draw closes to be included in that draw. To prevent this from occurring, you can set up Auto Reload so your Illinois Lottery account doesn’t run out of funds during your subscription. How will Auto Reload affect my subscriptions?
Auto Reload will help minimize the chances of missing a subscription purchase by keeping your wallet sufficiently funded.
Can I play a different number combination for each draw included in my subscription?
No, your subscription will use the same number combination for each draw. If you use Quick Pick, the same Quick Pick numbers initially selected for you will be used for the duration of your subscription.
Can I purchase more than one number combination for each draw?
Yes. Once you select your first number combination, a new line will be generated for you to complete. After you have added your desired number of lines, you can continue to make your add-on and subscription selections.
I was notified that my Pick 3 or Pick 4 number combination was sold out. What does that mean?
This means that the number combination you selected at the beginning of your Pick 3 or Pick 4 subscription is now sold out for the upcoming draw. Since the number combination was sold out, your wager was not placed, and your wallet was not debited for this draw.
After the sold out draw has passed, your subscription will attempt to play your selected number combination for subsequent subscribed draws. If any subsequent draws are also sold out, your wager will not be placed, and your wallet will not be debited.
Is there a minimum subscription duration?
Mega Millions, Powerball, and Lotto subscriptions have a one month minimum. Lucky Day Lotto, Pick 3, and Pick 4 game subscriptions have a one week minimum.
Is there a maximum subscription duration?
Mega Millions, Powerball, Lotto, Lucky Day Lotto, Pick 3, and Pick 4 allow you to purchase up to a 12-month subscription.
Is the ticket cost for subscriptions the same as buying an individual ticket?
Yes, a ticket purchased through a subscription costs the same as buying an individual ticket.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes, you can cancel your subscription in the My Subscriptions section of your online My Account at any time. Select the subscription you'd like to cancel and click or tap Cancel Subscription.
Please note that any tickets already purchased cannot be canceled or refunded.
I created my subscription. When does my subscription start?
Your subscription will start on the next available draw, which can be found on your email receipt and the My Games section of your online My Account.
What happens when my subscription ends?
Once your subscription ends, you will receive a notification email.
How do I check the status of my subscription?
You can review the status of your active subscriptions by visiting the My Subscriptions section of your online My Account.
Can I replay previously played tickets during my next game purchase?
Yes, through Replay Recent you can replay any of the last 10 tickets you purchased for the following games: Powerball, Mega Millions, Lotto, Lucky Day Lotto, Pick 3, and Pick 4. When you open a specific game page, you will see REPLAY RECENT at the top of the page. Select REPLAY RECENT and within the pop up, select a recent ticket to play. By selecting a recent ticket, any current line selections will be replaced.
How many Replay Recent tickets can I choose from for each game?
You will be able to choose from the last 10 last tickets you played for each of Powerball, Mega Millions, Lotto, Lucky Day Lotto, Pick 3, and Pick 4. You are not able to edit or delete the REPLAY RECENT tickets. To save a different set of numbers, please use Favorites.
Can I save my favorite game combinations and then select them during my next game purchase?
Yes, with Favorites you are able to save individual tickets for the following games: Powerball, Mega Millions, Lotto, Lucky Day Lotto, Pick 3, and Pick 4. Players can save up to 10 favorite tickets per game. When you open a specific game page, you will see FAVORITES at the top of the page. Select FAVORITES then Play a favorite. Within the pop up, select a saved favorite ticket to play. By selecting a favorite, any current line selections will be replaced. To save a new FAVORITE, add at least one line and select an add-on (if applicable/desired). Once you have completed your ticket, select FAVORITES then Save a favorite. Within the pop up, enter a name for your favorite and select SAVE FAVORITE. Please note, the default name for your favorite will be the current date.
Can I have two (2) Favorites with the same name within the same game?
No, each favorite must have a different name. You will be prompted to change the name of your favorite if it already exists for that game.
How many Favorites can I save per game?
You can save up to 10 favorites each for Powerball, Mega Millions, Lotto, Lucky Day Lotto, Pick 3, and Pick 4.
How do I delete a Favorite?
When you open a specific game page, you will see FAVORITES at the top of the page. Select FAVORITES then Play a favorite. Within the pop up, select DELETE below the saved Favorite you wish to delete. Your favorite will be deleted.
